This work explores Walter Benjamin’s notion of shock.

His idea focuses on the correlation between the way shocks are presented in the city and in films and digital images. According to Benjamin, film has the capacity to protect its recipients from the shocks they receive from the urban environment, a function dream also processes.

Through the constant switching of camera perspectives, from reality to game landscapes and visual stimuli, the work questions the relationship between dreams and digital images: How do they function? What are the similarities and dissimilarities?  What social and political functions do this kind of ‘psychic image’ processes? And, what meaning could the matching of recollection of the dream with game footages and animations result in?
