This work revisits the fundamental aspect of the first Understanding Media works – the process of documenting the documented, and explores photography ‘s nature and its ontologies.


The work creates a visual representation of how the interaction between the CCTV camera and the projector (which feeds on the live-footage from the camera) created a visual space of abstraction. It demonstrates the process of data reduction (audience passing through and objects in the space), qualitatively and gradually disappears and merges with the light of the past.
